Production of Ewe XB216

In early November 2000, a farmer from South America was visiting and happened to see the second of these two lambs being born.  We decided to look up this ewe's past production (see below).

Our data base does not have production records much before 1999 (we do have paper records).

XB216 is a Finn x Dorset ewe born in June of 1995.  As you can see, this ewe had triplets in February 1999, August 1999, and March 2000 and she raised all but one of them.  Now, in November 2000, she has a nice set of twins.  She is a demonstration of a highly productive ewe on the STAR System that has produced multiple lambs every 7.2 months for more than a year and a half with 10 live lambs during that time.

Note: Lambing records since November 2000 for this ewe have been appended. Although she continued to lamb at 7.2-month intervals, due to low milk production she was not able to raise more than one lamb at at time and was culled after lambing in January 2002.
